How to make football more enjoyable.

I know, I’m a football fan first and foremost and as such it’s hard to have any sympathy for the game, but I’ve found that it has been difficult to watch. It’s just boring, except for the occasional bit of excitement.

One of the things that frustrates me about the way the game is played is the number of defensive errors. In my defence, I’m not a particularly keen follower of the game, so I’ve missed a lot of it, but I have noticed that there seem to be more defensive errors than ever. I can understand the reasons for this, but it doesn’t make the game any more enjoyable.

In my first ever piece for Goal.com, I wrote about why I wanted to share my thoughts on the game, and why I wrote a column for Goal.com rather than a piece for another site. But I suppose it’s time to re-visit the issue of why people should be excited about football.

If you don’t care, or even if you’re completely indifferent to football, there are a number of reasons why I think you should be interested in football.

Firstly, I’m a football fan. I love the sport and I’m interested in it. I don’t take it too seriously and I’m not one of those fans who follows every little detail of the game. However, I do have a favourite team and I’m willing to watch the game and follow it. I’ve seen all the big games, I’ve studied the scoresheets, I can even follow a game from start to finish. I have an interest in the sport.

Secondly, football is a great spectacle. It’s easy to say that, but it’s really true. The sport is played at a level at which the players are completely involved, there’s a real desire to win, and there are tactical plays, goal-kicks, goals, and big crowds of people who are excited by the game. The excitement is there, and it’s a spectacle.

Thirdly, the way football is played is genuinely interesting. I don’t want to spend all my time analysing the game, but I want to know what’s going on and be involved in the strategy. It’s not just about playing ข่าวฟุตบอล  it’s about taking part. I love the fact that when a player scores, he holds his arms aloft, celebrating his achievement. I love the fact that when a player scores, he’s shown on the television screen. I love the fact that when a player is injured, his team-mates come to his aid. And it’s when a player is injured that the crowd gets really into the game. The game is played with a genuine desire to win.

Fourthly, football is a sport that is accessible to anyone who wants to take part. I don’t mean that it’s free and that you can get involved for free, I mean that it’s accessible to everyone. There are no entry requirements, no excessive amounts of money, or any of the other factors that would make it impossible to take part. Anyone can take part, at any level. If you want to play in the top league, it’s for you. If you want to play in the local Sunday league, it’s for you.
